FROM VULNERABLE AND EXPLOITED TO VALUED AND ENRICHED

VULNERABLE, EXPLOITED
THEN HOPE ENTERS IN...

Imagine being exploited due to poverty, hopelessness or crisis in your family.  You are not who they think you are - you have dreams!  You see a picture of yourself being valued not used. That is the picture of many women who are being served by New Image in Nicaragua.  Beautiful women wanting to have a family, a future and a hope.  New Image is about rehabilitation - HOPE and HEALING.

Then imagine being a child who is living in the poverty - you are vulnerable and already being exploited in many ways.  You attend school, but are "different."  Where other children have the nice uniform that is required, you struggle to find one, struggle to look the same.  Yet you show up at school to be ridiculed for not being dressed properly.  You don't have the required uniform.

Then HOPE enters.  New Image women agree to make uniforms for vulnerable children.  They are being hired for this task. This brings needed funds to the many women in the program of New Image, it gives them skills and a sense of responsibility.  Empowerment is evident everywhere.  Pride surfaces as their work becomes reality.  They are astonished at what they can create with their own hands.  The final product is 110 uniforms!  That is shirts, pants and skirts for vulnerable and exploited little children in grades 1-6.  They cannot uniform the country - but for these 110 children, hope has entered through the hands of the women.

New Image is helping many - these women exploited into the dark side of life and children who are walking a fine line of vulnerability.  New Image is rehabilitation, HOPE and HEALING.

The work of Helen Castro at New Image is both challenging and rewarding - for each woman or child who sees their future as a treasure of the Heavenly Father, a princess, a prince, a daughter, a son - this is the reward on earth.  However the real blessing is to know the work of New Image is close to the very heart of the Father.

We give honor today to New Image and their leader Helen Castro.  We give thanks to Jenna Dollin for loving them and being the Canadian LAMb connection to this program of HOPE and HEALING.

You can support them through prayer and finances.  Let us know if you want to help.

THANK YOU TO ALL THE SPONSORS OF THE UNIFORMS -THEY WERE SPONSORED AT $35.00 PER UNIFORM!
