15 ALONE, SCARED, WANTING FREEDOM - YET WANTING HELP - A DIFFICULT PLACE FOR A TEEN!

"I WANT HELP, NOT RULES"

"BUT IT IS THE RULE THAT KEEP YOU SAFE!"

6 youth at Jeremiah House
two new girls...
one young boy coming soon...

At Jeremiah House, we hear this all the time.  Our youth - ages from 14-18 are looking for help. You see -  they have struggled, had nights of fear, tears no one cared about and even moments of pure joy from the freedoms they so desire.

But ultimately, the world is not a safe place for a 15 year old who is attempting to make it alone in the world.  No job, no money, no stable home and no one to care.  Jeremiah House, along with Jeremiah team reach into the hearts of the youth and attempt to find that soft spot - that spot that is eager for a friend - an adult friend to guide them and be "tough" showing them the way.

Although the "toughness" is hard to accept, we have youth who thank us for this - while others rebel and cannot live in the safe environment we have created for them.

During our strategic plan, we have made some major changes to our Jeremiah 29:11 program - changes that work to further the help that is needed for the youth we serve.  We will be posting this plan soon.

For now, we ask for your prayers.  Jeremiah House had just received two new residents.  Both 15 year old girls, who are struggling between WANTING HELP AND WANTING FREEDOM TO DO WHAT THEY WANT.

Life is so difficult when you are 15, alone, sad, and unable to make effective decisions for your own life.  Our Jeremiah mentors are there - ready and eager to love, nurture, direct and even be "tough" when needed.

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING US WITH THIS PROJECT.....
